The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of over 150,000 works spanning 6,000 years of history. Its encyclopedic holdings include significant collections of ancient art, European masters, Islamic and South Asian art, photography, and contemporary works. LACMA is also home to Chris Burden's iconic Urban Light, a forest of 202 restored antique streetlamps that has become one of Los Angeles's most photographed landmarks.
